Equal opportunities in access to studies

The interest in studying in Cologne is guided by an early approach and by the marketing of the diversity of the courses on offer, especially with a focus on previously underrepresented groups, for example through:

  • Image building and marketing of the University of Cologne with a focus on diversity and equal opportunities;
  • Design of admission procedures and admission criteria that are non-discriminatory, accessible and equitable, with the aim of attracting groups that have previously been underrepresented;
  • Measures to attract first-year students from under-represented groups and to dismantle standardisations regarding professional culture.
