Model "Diversity & Equality"
The University of Cologne actively advocates for diversity, variety in perspective, and equal opportunities.
We provide conditions that enable everyone with the adequate entrance qualification to have access to our university regardless of their personal situation and their social background.
We promote an organizational culture in which individual, social, and cultural diversity is valued and people are not judged according to stereotypical prejudices. The competent approach towards difference is seen as an enrichment and as a sign of quality. We raise awareness for (in)equality especially in regard to gender equality, family friendliness, and internationalisation as well as interculturality, accessibility, and educational equality.
